Giving Tuesday
Today is Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement. If you were to surf the internet today, you would find all sorts of articles on promoting generous giving and many worthy causes are presented. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a day for people to do good, do something kind, and give generously.
It is interesting that Giving Tuesday comes on the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, two of the largest days of consumerism of the year.
Unleashing generosity can transform communities and the world. Today is a day to “give back” and “invest in” something you believe in.

This passage in the book of Acts reminds us of how the Holy Spirit directed the church at Antioch to set apart Barnabas and Paul for God’s work, sending them off into the world after a time of prayer and fasting and the laying on of hands. Local churches around the world repeat this scene from the book of Acts every day.
